Back to Casablanca

We had a nice, lazy morning in Marrakech.  About 11 or so we got our laundry back.  We had asked for it to be just washed and folded.  Instead they ironed everything, packaged it in sealed plastic bags (ever seen underwear ironed and placed in a sealed bag???), things put onto hangers, and delivered to us!  A bit more than we asked for (also a bit more than we expected to pay) - but at least it is all clean again!

We left our hotel at noon and had dinner in the Jewish quarter before heading for Casablanca.  A major difference between Casablanca and Fez, and also Marrakech to a lesser degree is that here we see women joining the men at the coffee tables on the patios.  Fez is a far more traditional city, Casablanca more progressive, at least in that instance.  It seems very strange to pass a coffee shop where there isn't a single woman in the crowd.

Checking out of our hotel.  A really beautiful place.

One last time into the city walls.

We had lunch in the Jewish quarter.

It was very ornate!  A quick ( 2 hour) lunch and off to Casablanca.
